FAQ

Where are you located?

The BVNK is located in:

2300 N. King Street

Honolulu, HI 96819

What does consignment mean?

An agreement in which the owner of a shoe or item (consignor) gives a consignment store (The BVNK) items to be sold and when an item is sold the owner of the item will pay a percentage of the sales (consignment fee) to the consignment store.

What is the consignment fee?

The BVNK’s consignment fee is 15% of the final sale price for both NEW or USED items that we sell.

Who sets the prices?

Prices are negotiated based on what the items sell for at market value.  We agree on a price with our consignors.

If I consign an item, how do I get paid?

We issue checks in your name when your item/items sell. Consignment cycle pay out occur every other Saturday. When checks are prepared, The BVNK will call or e-mail you to come pick it up at the store. If you are unable to make it to the shop, you may have someone else pick up your check for you (Must notify us beforehand if someone else is picking up the check for you).

Out-of-state consignors’ checks are mailed out to your mailing address.

Do you buy shoes? Do I have to come in person to receive a quote?

Yes, we do buybacks on certain items, but strongly encourage consignment for maximum profit. New shoes can be quoted by email or phone. Used shoes can only be quoted in person.

Do you accept trades or size swaps?

A good amount of our inventory is on consignment, and we pay consignors shortly after items leave our store.  If the shoe or item is owned by the shop, we will then be open to negotiations to size swaps or trades.

What are the conditions of your shoes/items?

Majority of the shoes and items in-store or online are new.  Used shoes or items will be noted in the description.

If an item says “used” is it the same as in the picture?

We offer most used items for sale in-store only.  However, some of them will be available on the website.  The picture on the website for these worn items are not of the actual shoe, but a stock image of a deadstock pair.  Used items are priced according to their condition. If you would like to request pictures of the actual used pair for sale, you may send a request to thebankhi@gmail.com .  Include the name, size, and price of the item.

Are all your shoes/products authentic?

All shoes & products sold by The BVNK are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. We have each item that is dropped off for consignment inspected before they are put up for sale.

When will you get more or an item that is sold out?

Restocks of styles and/or sizes depending on the availability within our network of sellers. We cannot predict when a shoe will be back in inventory or available in a specific size.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept most forms of payment: PayPal, credit/debit card, or cash.

Do you ship outside of Hawaii?

Yes. We ship anywhere within the United States via USPS and also offer international shipping via DHL.

Which states have a tax fee?

Online orders: Only HI residents are required to pay sales tax.

In store: All customers purchasing at our physical shop location are required to pay sales tax.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Most orders will take 1-2 days from when order was placed to get processed and will receive tracking information.  When orders are picked up for delivery it should take approximately 1-3 days for domestic shipping and 7-10 days for international shipping.

Why was my order canceled?

All products on thebvnkhi.com are in stock and available for order. Occasionally, products are oversold. In this event, orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. Processed orders are subject to payment acceptance and availability. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for any reason, at our sole discretion.

What is your return policy?

All Sales Are Final; We do not accept returns or exchanges. A majority of our inventory are on consignment, meaning we sell items for many individual sellers/consignors.  We are firm on our return policy because consignors are paid shortly after their item(s) are sold.
